Book one in the 'Daisy Weal' series.

This book covers the period from when I was born until well into my tenth year.

I lived a normal life, right up until the moment I was born. Then things went downhill...

Now I must face the reality that I can do things that others can't and discover how dangerous it could be if they found out. So my early years were spent learning to control my gifts, trying to fit in, and aspiring to be human. It wasn't easy. I made a lot of mistakes...big mistakes, some of which I just couldn't put right.

But I wasn't as alone as I thought. I met this very large dog named Bruce, and we ended up as the best of friends. Then together we faced the world and discovered that as much as I had tried to fit in, it might ultimately be impossible.

Should I accept that I am not completely human or fully embrace that small part of me that is?

Daisy Weal and the Monster

Book two in the 'Daisy Weal' series.

This story covers the period from my tenth year to my thirteenth.

I am gifted with extraordinary powers, and I spent my early years learning how to control them. It was particularly difficult learning how to fit in and be really 'human'.

But then I was ten and as my knowledge of the universe expanded, I discovered a monstrous being from another reality that is a serious threat to Humanity, and I could not be sure that my understanding of it would be enough to prevent disaster.

Whether I would have enough time to deal with this threat, was a moot point as a second that had been trapped in another dimension emerges. I didn't know at the time that the gateway has been inadvertently opened by a curious scientist and that the fate of the entire universe would hang in the balance because of it.

Despite all of my efforts to maintain a front of normality against these impossible odds, I was eventually noticed and recruited into a secret service specifically for my special talents. Whether those talents would be enough to enable me to deal with one monstrous being, one dimensional horror and at the same time stop a madman from destroying London, was a question that only time could answer.

This story covers the period from my thirteenth to my sixteenth year.

I had just reached thirteen, and was settling into becoming a teenager, when I met Amy, who became my constant companion and friend.I

was teleporting the necessary personnel, equipment and supplies to Moon Base, when I discovered that there were cameras spying on me. A very bent Sir Charles Wilberforce Prendergast had discovered my secret.

Fearing that my powers might be a danger to his own plans, he decided to try and force me to work for him. If that was not possible, he vowed to eliminate me. He turned to his assassins.

Following several failed attempts, one of which left Amy seriously injured and in hospital, I realised that I couldn't allow Sir Charles to continue, and it was time for him to answer for his crimes.

Daisy Weal and the Last Crenian,

Book four in the 'Daisy Weal' series.

This story covers the period from my sixteenth year to my eighteenth.

I had just celebrated my sixteenth birthday when the Crenian came to earth.

His race had been wiped out by a genetic shift that had been introduced centuries ago, and instinctively his first act was to attack me, before he realised that my powers were at least equal to his own.

Eventually he joined forces with me and together we unravelled the mystery of his race’s condition, and set out to prevent the same thing from happening to the human race.

We were getting uncomfortably close to the truth and, as a diversion, the President of the United States was kidnapped and my friends also began to disappear.

I discovered that a sinister plot was being hatched by the being that I had originally seen as a friend and mentor. Once more I had to call on the Crenian and together we met the enemy in a final confrontation.

Dauntless

Book five in the 'Daisy Weal' series.

This book covers the period five hundred years after my voluntary exile to a remote planet halfway across the galaxy.

I had really run away, not being able to cope with not aging and watching everyone around me die. So I took my husband and enjoyed fifty years alone with him until he too came to the end of his life. Then I mourned...oh how I mourned... it seemed though it would never end, and I would never get over him, but one day the light dawned...

Five hundred years had passed since I had come to this little planet with the three suns, and four hundred and fifty since my William had died. As I sat by his graveside on that fateful day, the thought came to me that after all this time it really was time that I got over him.

An unexpected visit from a starship, and my first contact with another human being in almost five centuries, awakened in me the need for human companionship, and it convinced me that it was time to return to Earth. So together with the Lentor, an intelligent and telepathic, dog like creature who had adopted me, I shifted through the dimensions and arrived back into a place far different from the England of my memories.

But not only is it different, something is not quite right. It is as if an evil is lurking, changing, affecting and influencing in areas where it can do the most harm. Some power is planning the overthrow of a society that has lasted for hundreds of years, and not with benevolent intentions.

Dealing with violence, death and insurrection is difficult enough, but the discovery of a new affair of the heart was almost too much for me to bear when it become clear that I might have to be the one to confront that power for the sake of the whole of mankind.
